Grand Seiko has opened its first standalone Mono-Salon in Indonesia, marking a new milestone in Southeast Asia. Located in Plaza Senayan Mall, Jakarta, the 100-square-meter boutique reflects a long-standing partnership with PT Asia Jaya Ikon, Grand Seiko’s trusted retailer since 1978.
Inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics, Grand Seiko at Plaza Senayan creates a calm and elegant atmosphere. Every element, from warm wood display cases to soft stone flooring, expresses Grand Seiko’s “Alive in Time” philosophy. Together, these details invite visitors to appreciate the brand’s precision, craftsmanship, and timeless design.
The grand opening on May 8, 2025, gathered notable guests, including Grand Seiko and Asia Jaya Ikon executives. During the ceremony, Ida Idris-Low, Managing Director of Grand Seiko Asia-Pacific, highlighted that this new salon represents a deep commitment to craftsmanship and customer experience.
Inside the Mono-Salon, guests can explore all Grand Seiko collections, including Sport, Heritage, Elegance, and Evolution 9. Standout pieces include the Tentagraph SLGC007, inspired by Mount Iwate’s snowy peak, and the SBGW323 with its purple kiri-dial, paying tribute to Japanese flora. The limited-edition SLGH027 also showcases Grand Seiko’s blend of innovation and tradition.
Kevin Lie, Director of Asia Jaya Ikon, shared his pride in the partnership’s evolution. Since 1978, the company has upheld Seiko’s legacy in Indonesia and now offers collectors a dedicated space to experience Grand Seiko’s excellence.
More than a boutique, the Grand Seiko at Plaza Senayan serves as a hub for horological learning. Guests can join private sessions, engage with Takumi philosophies, and discover the artistry behind every movement. To bring the event to life, ASA served as Event Organizer and Media Relations partner, ensuring a successful launch that celebrated Grand Seiko’s prestige in the luxury watch industry.
