Drawing direct inspiration from the sun’s ever-shifting glow, Betty has crafted gowns that translate natural light into wearable art, marrying bold structural design with romantic detail.

At the heart of LUMINESCENCE lies a fascination with sunlight’s journey—its shimmer across ocean waves, rhythmic play among fishermen’s nets, and the serene geometry of fish cages. Betty captures these moments through meticulous cutting techniques and handcrafted embellishments. Every fold and pleat in the gowns echoes the movement of waves, while unexpected metal, resin, and polymer appliqués reflect light much like sunbeams dancing on water.

The collection’s silhouettes balance architectural precision with sensual contours. Sharp proportions and sculptural lines sit alongside soft draping and fluid textures. Silks and chiffons flow like liquid light, while lamé and metallic lace inject an industrial edge. Betty’s mastery of classical haute couture—evident in fine hand embroidery and corsetry—anchors the designs in tradition, even as they push boundaries with avant-garde ornamentation.

Accessories for the show come courtesy of Rinaldy A. Yunardi, whose statement headpieces and jewelry underscore the collection’s luminous theme. Eddy Betty’s journey began in the performing arts, a foundation that informs his theatrical approach to fashion. After honing his skills at the prestigious Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture in Paris and working with European houses, he returned to Indonesia to establish his label.
